The Foundation: Treating the Person,
Not the Disease (2002–2005)
In 2002, Dr. Kanan completed her Bachelor of Homoeopathy, grounding herself in a system of medicine that views the human being as an interconnected whole—mind, body, and emotions. Early clinical practice revealed something powerful: physical symptoms often carried emotional histories, unspoken stress, and unresolved inner conflicts.
This insight led her deeper—beyond medicine alone.
By 2003, she pursued postgraduate training in Clinical and Health Psychology and Counselling, learning to listen not only to the body, but to the stories people carry within them. Here, she discovered how thoughts, emotions, belief systems, and life experiences directly shape health outcomes.
